Set up or repair rigging for construction projects, manufacturing plants, and vessel docks.
The individual will perform tasks involving physical labor at various sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.
Must be able to follow directions and work with limited supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at various sites
- Helping lift and position materials for machining and/or assembly
- May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
- May clean and prepare sites, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials, machines, tools, and equipment
- Empties trash into receptacles
- May move large items, pallets, or bins
- May assist other craft workers.
- Adheres to safety practices and procedures
- Follows procedures as defined by company policies.
- Always be ready to start shift on time.
- Follow guidelines and procedures.
- Do not leave job early or return late from break times.
- Ensure work area is left clean, all equipment and tools are stowed away safely and protected against damage.
